Preview ; England v India, ODI series 2021


Indian team will play another bilateral series against England in March. ODI series between England and India will kick start from 23rd March. Whole series will be played on Maharashtra Cricket Association’s stadium in Pune.

Indian team announced their squad for ODI series. Suryakumar Yadav, Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna got their maiden ODI call up. While Deepak Chahar and Navdeep Saini dropped from the squad. Ravindra Jadeja & Mohammad Shami not included due to injury some concerns.

ECB also announced their squad for ODI series against India. Jofra Archer is struggling from elbow injury that’s why he’s not included in England’s ODI squad. He’s returning to home and might miss upcoming IPL 2021 first few weeks. This huge blow for his IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals.

England’s red ball captain Joe Root also missing the ODI series, he’s not included in the squad. Joe Root was the leading runs scorer in test series between India v England. England team may miss Joe Root’s experience & batting in ODI series.

Team India won the T20I series & Test series with lots of positive. Rohit Sharma showed his form in Tests as well as in T20I’s. While Virat return in the form and grabbed man of the series award.

While from England’s camp, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler are in good touch. It’s the biggest positive for England.

Pune’s Pitch will be flat and helpful for England’s batsman like Roy, Bairstow & Buttler.

Virat Kohli already confirmed that, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will open this series.
