Virat Kohli in this tour :
Toss : 12, Won : 2, Lost : 10

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan looking solid, they both scored 65 runs in first powerplay for team India. One of the best and profalic pair in ODI cricket for a reason !

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan scored 65 runs in powerplay

Shikhar Dhawan completed his fifty, a very quick knock from Team India’s Gabbar ! Rohit Sharma and Shikhar now very near to 100 partnership.

Adil Rashid broke the 103 runs partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit Sharma departs after scoring 38 runs. Another good start for Hitman, but unable to convert into big one.

Rishabh Pant continues to shine in this tour. He is averaging 50+ in all three formats in this tour of England to India. He smashed 4 huge sixes in this match alongwith 5 fours. Attacking mindset of Rishabh Pant helped India to dominate English bolwers in middle order.

Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya scored 99 runs in combine in just 73 balls. This is the game changing partnership for India. Rishabh Pant scored his 3rd ODI fifty while second consecutive in this series.

Ben Stokes got the important wicket for England, Hardik Pandya out after scoring 64 runs. He smashed 4 sixes alongwith 5 fours. Three out of Four sixes came in the over of Moin Ali ! Such a good inning from Hardik Pandya.

Team India posted a total of 329 runs with 10 ball remaining. Both Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant have smashed 4-4 sixes. This is huge total for England in decider match.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar you beauty ! Team India’s swing king Bhuvneshwar Kumar destroyed England’s batting line up. He took the importants Wickets of Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow who are looking in great form. While T Natarajan took the wicket of in form Ben Stokes. Some relief for Hardik Pandya as he dropped the catch of Ben Stokes.

Indian bowlers grabbed the wicket in powerplay for first time in the series. This is serious concern from India’s bowling. Bowlers are not taking sufficient wickets in powerplay overs. We have seen it before in Australia and New Zealand’s tour also. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is good partner for Jasprit Bumrah for powerplay overs.

Shardul Thakur, the man with golden arm from India took two important wickets in phase of middle order. He removed English captain Jos Buttler and series debutant Liam Livingstone with brilliant caught and bowled. Shardul Thakur now the highest wicket taker of this series as well. He was the highest wicket taker in T20I series and now in ODI series. What a brilliant find by India.

From India’s batting perspective, This is forgettable series for team India’s opener Rohit Sharma, as he haven’t a single fifty in this ODI series. First time Since 2013, Rohit Sharma failed to deliver a single fifty in an ODI series at home. Hope, he will back in upcoming IPL 2021 season.

Sam Curran’s 95* runs inning gone to vain as India won the match by 8 runs and series as well. Mind boggling thriller in Pune not for weak hearted people. Sam Curran smashed 3 sixes alongwith 9 fours and back England in the game. A disappointing performance by team India in second last over of inning. Indian fielders dropped two catches in the over of Hardik Pandya.
