Exclusive : BCCI asks 9 Venues to continue prepration for T20 World Cup

India will host the upcoming mega event by International cricket council (ICC). T20 World Cup 2021 will host India during October-November. According to the reports, Final of this event will be played at historic Narendra Modi cricket stadium.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly asked for permission to state association to continue their preparation for T20 World Cup. At the start of this year, BCCI announced only 8 venues to host this event. But now, Dharmshala also added in that list.

Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dharamsala, Ahmedabad and Lucknow this venues have reportedly picked by BCCI panel. This venues have lost of hotels, travel options. It will easier for cricket board to travel between this venues. According to the PTI report, the final will be played at Ahemdabad, Narendra Modi cricket stadium.

“The nine venues have been informed and it was again discussed that preparations should continue for the showpiece event with an eye on the COVID-19 situation and a call will only be taken closer to this event. It is too early to imagine what we can or what will happen in October-November with regards to the coronavirus situation that time. But preparations shall be on” an unknown source told to ANI

“The visa issue of Pakistan cricket team has been sorted. However whether the fans can travel across the border to watch matches is still not clear/confirmed. It will be decided in due course of time that time. However, we had promised ICC that it will be sorted. The secretary announced during the meeting” a BCCI source added his statement to PTI.
