Questions : Will IPL be Played on it’s original schedule ?

After the completion of twenty nine matches, first covid-19 case has been observed by IPL management in KKR’s camp. Two players of KKR team have been tested positive for this increasing pandemic.

Kolkata Knight Riders two players, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrior were tested for four times before KKR v RCB ‘s match. They were continuously tested positive in all four tested.

Reason behind of breaching of Bio-Bubble :
Varun Chakravarthy left KKR’s bio bubble recently to recover injury of his shoulder. That is where he might be get exposed. Sandeep Warrier is very close to him and he was also tested positive. all KKR’s staff, players and management were tested negative for Covid-19 including Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins. But, Pat Cummins was put in isolation.

“The Medical Team is determining the close and casual contacts of the two positive cases during the 48 hours prior to collection of the sample that returned the positive test results.” The statement by IPL include.

“The BCCI and the Kolkata Knight Riders prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved and all measures are being taken in that endeavour.” This words were added in that statement.

Will MI v SRH match will take place on it’s original schedule ?
Four Teams including KKR, RCB, PBKS and DC are playing their matches in Narendra Modi cricket stadium, Ahmedabad. While Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians will play their next match in Delhi. The bio bubbles are different including their hotels as well buses. So, CricActivity understands The match will definitely happen on it’s original time.

When will KKR play their next match ?
Now, Kolkata Knight Riders is in isolation. Today’s match have already postponed, their next match is on 8th May and CricActivity understands this match also will get postpone. KKR might play their next matches after a completion of one week. They have to play lot of afternoon matches.

Will CSK continue their original schedule ?
Official statement yet to come from IPL management, so we can’t inform you about that. The news coming from is, chief executive Kasi Viswanathan, bowling coach Laxmipati Balaji, and a bus cleaner have tested positive. CricActivity understands that the next match between CSK & RR to postpone also.
