Why Hardik Pandya is not included in India’s squad for WTC final and England’s Test series ?


Hardik Pandya, team India’s all-rounder is not included in team India’s squad for World Test Championship and England’s Test series. Indian team is all set to play first final of test championship against New Zealand in Ages Bowl, Southampton.

BCCI announced their squad for this final and upcoming England’s test series. BCCI included 20 players in this alongwith four stand by players. Virat Kohli will lead the side while Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar were the bus names who missed out.

Injury problems for Hardik Pandya :

Hardik Pandya is suffering with a back problem and not only from now but from last one-two years. Hardik Pandya is very much important asset for team India in upcoming T20 world cup. Hardik Pandya is still struggling to bowl few overs and this is the important to reason to drop him.

A BCCI source reacted after the declaration of squad :

“Hardik Pandya is still not in a position to bowl. The experiment of selectors to keep him during England and prepare him with bowling workload has failed miserably. He will henceforth not be considered for Test cricket,” a one of BCCI source added his words on My Khel

Hardik Pandya’s test numbers :

Hardik Pandya was debuted in 2017 against Srilanka in Srilanka, he scored 532 runs at on the average of 31.2 while he took 17 wickets in red ball cricket. He has an impressive record in England, it’s slightly unfair to drop him, but from fitness perspective it will be good decision. Shardul Thakur is good choice for India to replace him.
