Rules of IPL 2022 mega auction; date, timing, new teams?


IPL 2021 part 2 will be resumed from September 19, 2021 in UAE and final will be played on 3 November,2021. Reports are coming that after the completion of IPL 2021 BCCI will announce date of auction ; according to reports auction will be 20 December, 2021 or 25 febuary,2022. According to TOI (times of india) Reports are coming that IPL 2022 rules was decided by bcci. Mega auction is a best chance for franchises that want to rebuild their squads and don’t repeat the mistake which they done in previous years. With two new teams likely to be added to IPL 2022. the mega auction has become even more interesting and every teams have big purse to every teams .We mentioned All the rule below.

All teams allowed to retaine 3 indian player and 1 overseas player in IPL 2022 mega auction !

CricActivity understands All teams are allowed to retain a maximum of four players each. As per the conditions, the team management can either retain three Indian players and one overseas player or two Indian players and two overseas players. Teams would deduct the salaries of these four players before entering the auction. With two new teams, the BCCI will also increase the purse from 85 crores to 90 crores which means an additional 50 crores would be added to the budget of all 10 franchises by the BCCI.

Maximum player in all teams squads ?

Till now each franchise in the IPL is allowed to acquire a maximum of 25 players and a minimum of 18 players (domestic and overseas included) however there could be an increase in the players.
