Start of limited overs series is delayed ; Sri Lanka v India white ball tour is set to start on 18th July


Sri Lanka to host team India for couple of white ball series. Hosts Sri Lanka are struggling with lost covid-19 cases in their camps. They are coming from England, just after their arrival to Sri Lanka ; their data analyst GT Niroshan tested positive. Sri Lankan batting coach Grant Flower followed him and they’re also in list of covid-19 cases.

According to reports of Cricbuzz as well as ESPN networks. The white ball series between India and Sri Lanka is set to postpone.

CricActivity understands, the revised schedule will kick start from 17th July which was scheduled before on 13th July. Fans have to wait for four more days to see team India in action. After first ODI, second and third ODI will play on 19th and 21st July.

After finding the staff members positive, Sri Lankan players moved in the isolation for two more days. They have to follow RT-PCR test for their covid-19 results. While. Sri Lanka cricket board have arranged one more team as back up squad which is currently in Dambulla.

Sri Lanka cricket board also proposed a new schedule for Sri Lanka v India white ball series. Three ODI’s is likely to play on 17th, 19th and on 21st of July. While T20I series is likely to start from 24th July.
