Team India’s all rounder Krunal Pandya is tested positive for covid-19. CricActivity understands eight more members of Indian team are closely contact with Krunal Pandya. Second T20I between Sri Lanka and India is postponed after covid-19 scares in Indian camp.
BCCI announced that officially, all players to undergo through RT-PCR test. Second T20I between Sri Lanka and India was scheduled on 27th of July but after Krunal Pandya positive case, it’s suspended for a few days.
We have seen it before in West Indies v Australia ODI series. Some support staff have tested positive for covid-19 during ODI series. Later last two ODIs are rescheduled. CricActivity understands that, same will happen with T20I series.

CricActivity understands that, Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav are there in 8 players who are in close contact of Krunal Pandya. all of them are in isolation. Recently, both are selected in India’s squad for England test series. Covid-19 might struggle them for their test future.
Srilanka cricket have announced that second and third T20I to play on 28th and 29th of July. Timing will be 7:00 PM IST.
