Mumbai Indians currently occupying sixth place on the points table. The defending champions Mumbai Indians are struggling in the second phase of IPL 2021. They lost two consecutive matches in the UAE leg. And they are certainly missing their all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
In the first match of UAE leg against mighty CSK, they are very close to chasing the target. While against Kolkata Knight Riders they missed an attacking batsman after a good start by openers. Hardik Pandya is one of the best all-rounders in IPL cricket, and Mumbai Indians need him.
Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond was asked by one of the reporters, Hardik Pandya is ready to play. Team India has a very action-packed schedule after this IPL leg. Hardik Pandya wants to be fit for the upcoming T20 world cup.
“Well, Hardik Pandya is training well, he is getting closer to playing. We’re equalizing the needs of our team with the wants of India as well. So, one thing this franchise does very well is to look after its players. Not only try to win this competition but also maintain road of the T20 World Cup that is coming up next month. So, hopefully, Hardik will be picked for the next match.” Shane Bond said after the match between MI and KKR
Shane Bond also expanded that there is no point in rushing Hardik Pandya back into the side in a hurry, as doing so might result in him missing the whole season. The MI bowling trainer concluded by noting that Pandya will return to playing XI quickly.
“There is no point rushing him back to get injured and miss the rest of the tournament. Hopefully, we will bring him back immediately and we will have him back,” Shane Bond Said
